Samba fever!

ok, this is old news. but i still want to say.

the samba boys are in town. yeah! alright it is just the Brazil Olympic bound soccer team. Not the full squad, but a look at the team sheet and omg, quite a handful of familiar names. Ronaldinho, Anderson, Diego, Robinho and Pato. Names that certainly strike a certain amount of fear playing against them.

was listening to one radio station and it was so hilarious over how they enact the scene in the Lions'(our own national squad) dressing room. here it is:
Scene: in the dressing room
Coach: hey boys, the brazilian team is coming to SG.
Dressing Room erupted into loud cheers and joy.
Coach: And you are going to play against them.
Loud cheers immediately end and become a total silence.

it was so hilarious. the brazilian team is nice to watch but to play against them, though is great but definitely won't be easy.
anyway the friendly match is on the 28 July at the "supposed-to-close-yet-still-open" National Stadium. the price is a big wow, $60 -$120 range. Anyone kind enough to treat me go watch?

decided to subscribe to a monthly cos i hope to get something light to read, something which can allow me to slowly read for a month and something which can be enriching and of cos something which can improve my English. Now i am unsure on what to subscribe. Anyone got suggestion, let me know.

was reading an article on attitude and success. (it was on last page of Sunday Classified in case you guys want to read it.) and i find it quite interesting. I do agree with it and it certainly inspired me a little. one key point i remember very well is this:
if you are unhappy for a minute, you are losing 60 sec of happiness which you will not be able to get back for the rest of your life.
so i guess, it is always great to be happy and treat everyday as a fresh start.

there is a chart as well which show us the attititude in doing things and its success rate. one example:
i did : 100% success
i can: 80% success
so i guess i will keep saying and thinking "I DID" to get a high success rate.

i'm looking forward to my weekend. No csc activities (though i want to) as i will engage with my other social life.

flags flying high at all estates as we move towards the day to celebrate the SG spirit. i can't wait for NDP.
